Zava Killingsworth Six, 87, of Walnut Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Willard Care Center.

Zava was born June 21, 1930, to Gwynne and Monta Ragains Killingsworth, in their log home, and grew up on a farm east of Walnut Grove.

Zava attended Luck (one room) School through 8 ^th grade, then graduated from the Walnut Grove High School in 1948 and then on to graduate from Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield, MO in 1952.

Zava married Roy Six on June 10, 1953, spending 65 years together.  They spent their honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Canada. While Roy served his country in the US Army, Zava taught business and art classes at Ash Grove High School.  Later Zava and Roy taught school in Lowry City, MO for 16 years.  In 1972 they moved to Walnut Grove and Roy served as Superintendent of schools while Zava taught classes and was the proud sponsor of the school newspaper.  In 1977 Zava and Roy moved to Belton, MO and worked there for 9 years. They moved back to Walnut Grove to retire near their families.

Zava was very active in the Christian Church, keeping scrapbooks of all the activities and decorating the church with beautiful flowers from her garden, helping prepare the Walnut Grove Alumni Association Newsletter, serving as Greene Lawn Cemetery Board Secretary, and she supporting many other community projects.

Zava is survived by her husband, Roy, and their little dog, "Buddy", along with relatives, caring neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Walnut Grove Care to Learn and may be left at the funeral home.
