Kasey W. Griffin
Owner, Funeral Director, Embalmer
Kasey is a second-generation funeral director and embalmer. He is a 1997 graduate of Cameron High School in Cameron, MO and a 1999 graduate of Kansas City-Kansas School of Mortuary Science with an Associate's degree in Mortuary Art. Kasey has worked in funeral service his entire life. Kasey is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Club, and First Baptist Church Ash Grove. He is married to Rachel, and they have two boys, Payton and Brady. Kasey enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching the boys' sporting events.

Rachel is a 2002 graduate of Lebanon High School in Lebanon, MO, a 2005 graduate of University of Missouri- Kansas City, and completed her masters and doctoral degree from Southwest Baptist University. Rachel has worked in the education field, off and on, for over 19 years in many different capacities. Rachel enjoys her time working with students, but also spending time serving the families in the funeral home. She is married to Kasey, and they have two boys, Payton and Brady. Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and watching the boys' and all of their events.

Payton Griffin
Funeral Director Assistant
Payton is a junior at Missouri State University. He is majoring in animal science with an emphasis in beef and plans to come home and help run the funeral home and have a farm. After finishing his bachelor's, he plans to attend mortuary school at John A. Gupton College in Nashville, TN. He enjoys his time outdoors, working on the farm, and hunting.

Brady is a freshman at Drury University, studying pre-med. He enjoys wrestling and spending time outdoors. Some of his duties around the funeral home are to keep the flower beds in order, emptying trash, carrying flowers, working in the yard, and greeting.

Jerry W. Griffin
Funeral Director, Embalmer
Jerry is a 1966 graduate of Braymer, MO High School. He served in the United States Navy with one tour in Vietnam. He then served 10 years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a road trooper. In 1981 Jerry changed his profession to funeral service. During his tenure of funeral service Jerry has owned and operated funeral homes in North Missouri and then worked 24 years for Service Corporation International. While working for Service Corporation International he worked in several states and in various management positions. Jerry served on the Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors from 1991 to 2006. He also served on the International Conference of Funeral Service Licensing board from 1999 to 2005. Jerry has an Associates degree in Mortuary Arts from Kansas City Kansas Community College, and a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Central Missouri. He is a life member of Braymer/Breckenridge Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, Scottish Rite, and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Club. Jerry and his wife Jeanette have three grown children; Jennifer, Kerri, and Kasey and three grandchildren; Griffin, Payton, and Brady. Jerry and Jeanette enjoy traveling, antiquing, and spending as much time as they can with their grandchildren.

Rhoda Schey
Office Manager
Rhoda has worked for the funeral home since 2001. She moved to the area after retiring from Dana Corporation, where she worked for 29 years, in her home town of Churubusco, Indiana. Rhoda enjoys her 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In her spare time she also enjoys the out-doors, reading, and flower gardening. Rhoda is a great asset to our office.

Michelle has been a local Everton/Ash Grove resident for over 20 years and a graduate of Hillcrest High School in 1988. She is married to Danny Slatten and they enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it is hunting, kayaking, boating, or riding horses. She and Danny also attend Sac River Cowboy Church. Before coming to work at Wilson-Griffin, Michelle was a cosmetologist for 21 years and in the banking field for 6. We are excited that Michelle has joined our team.
